Freddy’s Second Chance: Support His Life-Saving Recovery

Hi everyone,

Meet Freddy—a sweet, loving & lively rescue pup who finally found his forever home after spending time in foster care through Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. Freddy has been through so much already, but just as he was settling into his new life, he faced a life-threatening emergency: GDV (Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus), also known as bloat.

GDV is a sudden and serious condition that required immediate emergency surgery to save Freddy’s life. Thanks to a skilled veterinary team, Freddy made it through surgery, but now he’s facing a long and expensive road to recovery.

In January, Freddy underwent extensive oral surgery. With 10 teeth extracted and hours of clearing out infection, Freddy begun truly living life to the fullest.

His past unknown, his scars unexplainable, he has had a remarkable amount of resilience throughout his life. Here, we are doing everything we can to help him keep fighting for the life he deserves to live.

His new family is doing everything they can to provide the best care for him, but the unexpected medical costs are overwhelming. We’re reaching out for help to cover Freddy’s surgery, hospital stay, and post-op care so he can heal and continue experiencing the love and security he deserves.
