With a heavy heart, we are setting up this campaign in memory of Freddy Torres to help his family with expenses during this difficult time. Freddy passed away on April 16th, and is a huge loss to our little community. Freddy worked for over 20 years in the fashion industry, first for Design Archives and then for Deesigns New York. He was always hustling around the city with a smile and made many friends along the way. Freddy has been with us through it all. From the stressful deadline pushing projects to weddings and shows, he was a kind soul, and he'll be dearly missed. 

With the world we're in now, the process for after life expenses has become difficult. Freddy will be laid to rest  at Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens, and a memorial will be held in August with final details still being arranged. We're hoping that we can come together, all of those that knew Freddy, to help his family during what is a difficult time for all of us. 

Funds for this will go directly to Freddy's Mom, Marlene Mallea, to help with burial and memorial expenses.
