On Wednesday, Oct. 23 Freddy Jarp had a stroke while in Orlando. They removed 4 blood clots from his brain and he remains in ICU.
Little by little he showed signs of responsiveness. He started moving his fingers, then was able to walk with assistance, to sitting up by himself. At this time, he is still unable to speak.
About 1 centimeter of the speech part of his brain got affected with the stroke. But with intense therapy the doctors say he will recover 98-99%. A recent ultrasound revealed a mass on his heart caused by an infection, which resulted in the clots.
Doctors say they can either perform open heart surgery and remove the mass, or they can do 6 weeks of antibiotics via IV which means he stays in Orlando for up to 6 weeks.
Freddy's friends started this GoFundMe to help him with medical expenses and general financial support as he recovers. We are hopeful that this campaign will alleviate some of his financial burden so he can recovery with minimal stress.
This is just the beginning to a long recovery for Freddy. Please help support Freddy's stroke recovery.
Thank you to for your support and prayers.
