El 30 de marzo de este año, mi hermano fue diagnosticado con etapa 4 de linfoma. El diagnóstico fue muy difícil de escuchar para toda la familia. Él había sufrido un accidente unos meses atrás cual le causaron lesiones y gran dolor en su cuello y cadera. Con el tiempo eso lo dejó inmóvil y con problemas más grandes que el jamás imaginó. Después de ver a un fisioterapeuta y un MRI más tarde, le dijo que el MRI demostraba células cancerosas que se encontraban en su bazo e hígado principalmente. Después de varios estudios le han encontrado linfoma en el hígado, riñones, bazo, cadera, cuello, y columna. Desde entonces el ha estado dentro y fuera del hospital y comenzó su primer y muy agresivo tratamiento de quimioterapia. Aparte de los efectos secundarios de la quimioterapia, las lesiones en el cuello y cadera, hacen su movilidad extremadamente difícil y dolorosa.

On March 30th of this year, my brother was diagnosed with lymphoma stage 4. He’s diagnosis was a shocker to the whole family. He had suffer an accident a few months prior which caused him major pain and lesions in his neck and hip and as time passed by, it left him immobile and with bigger issues that he ever imagined. After seeing a physical therapist, and a MRI later, he was told the MRI showed Cancerous cells mostly found in his spleen and liver. After many medical tests, they have found lymphoma in his liver, kidneys, spleen, hip, neck and spine. Since then, he has been in and out of the hospital and started his first and very aggressive chemo treatment. Adding to chemo’s side effects, his neck and hip injuries, make it extremely hard and painful for him to move.
