Freddie's Final Journey Home

Dear Family and Friends of Freddie Bonacci

Our Beloved Dad and your Beloved Cousin, Uncle, Grandpa, and Friend Freddie, passed away on Sunday Feb 10th,  after a Valiant and brave Battle with Many Health Issues over the past several years.

As many of your know.. Dad spent much of the fall in the hospital, from Aug thru Sept of 2016,  then in October, after being sent home from the hospital, Dad suffered a debilitating Stroke and spent the rest of year and into the new year in the hospital and rehab.

Dad had to learn how to talk and walk and eat food again, as he had the feeding tube from the stroke.  Then 8 days into the new year of 2017, his very best Friend, His Father, passed away.  Dad was still recovering from the stroke, and was extremely sad and beyond consolation ( I now know that feeling) and so I stayed in Omaha to help Rehab and encourage him, however just ONE month later we had the Catastrophic House Fire..

Most have you have followed the journey since then.. I have flown to Omaha almost EVERY Month since Dad’s stroke, Grandpa’s death and the fire, to help rehabilitate Dad and rebuild his house . The house was built with his illnesses in mind, and for his ease and ability as his mobility became increasingly difficult.  However rebuilding the house for American Disability Act standards, was a significant expense and NOT covered by homeowners insurance.

The kids and I were able to spend the entire summer out there last year to continue to help Dad and help clean out and clear out the property.  We have had some real major obstacles to overcome since the Stroke, Grandpa’s death and the fire…

As many of you know Dad has been battling the Liver Failure and Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer,  that had recently spread to the Bone and the Bone marrow with a large tumor growing on the spine…

AND HE BATTLED IT ALL WITH A SMILE!!!!! HE RARELY COMPLAINED… HE KEPT A POSITIVE ATTITUDE Through it ALL!
He Contined to LIVE LIFE and Love spending time with his friends!

Dad came to Florida to spend his last months with his family. He was surrounded by his immediate family in his last days.. He was in beautiful weather and he ate wonderful foods, he left us with wonderful memories, and Dad Lived an AMAZING LIFE..
He will be SO greatly missed in his death.

SO MANY OF YOU have also been enriched by Freddie’s friendship and love in your life..  you know Freddie has had a REALLY REALLY Rough few years..
Dad has VERY LITTLE money left to his name.. no life insurance and a property tax lien to deal with…

I have done Everything I can possibly do to help.. I am asking EVERY ONE OF YOU.. If you have EVER shared a Beer.. a Laugh.. a volleyball game.. a boating trip with Dad .. if you have Ever spent a Memorial Day Party with Dad… Would you Please Help Bring Freddie and Coco Home for his final journey.. A Hero's Final Journey Home.

If our Pictures and sharing our Journey through these rough trial some years, brought you ANY encouragement, a smile or a laugh… would you consider any donation of ANY Amount to help with all our final plans and expenses that are going to arise ..

For Sure we are going to have ONE EPIC MEMORIAL DAY MEMORIAL for Dad… But there is so much to do even prior to that.. I will have to leave Florida and My Children for a while.. so Please .. I have Never asked for help and feel awkward asking for it now… and I appreciate ALL of you who feel led to give from your Heart! Thank you!

Dad Loved you All and you all brought him A lot of Joy and fun times!
