My name is Susan Shelley, I am Frederick Watson's mother, I am fundraising money to help support Fred's recovery from an accident. All donations will be directly deposited to Fred's bank bank account. 

Early Sunday morning, Jul. 11, on I-95, Freddie hit a patch of slick water and hydroplaned, ultimately crashing. I-95, which is usually extremely busy, was tame at this dim hour, and Freddie, in shock, got out of his vehicle to check it. He was then struck by another driver, who kept on driving, leaving Freddie injured and bleeding on the road.

Today, Jul 14th, 2021, Freddie spends his birthday in the ICU at St. Marys Hospital in West Palm Beach FL, recovering, but with a long, long road ahead.

Freddie has multiple fractures and internal injuries. He’s already undergone surgery to repair a tear in his aorta and remove his spleen and he’s yet to undergo surgery for his legs which will require the insertion of metal rods. He’s been doing well through these procedures and is currently in stable condition but this is just the beginning of his long recovery.

Freddie is an active strong man who enjoys traveling the world, hiking, the gym, and spending time with his friends and little girl Leighton. The impact of this accident will effect his ability to many of those things for quite some time. 

We, Freddie’s family and friends, are asking for any donations that will go to medical bills and support for his family including his 5 year old daughter, Leighton Jax Watson.
