Hello,

We are daughters of Fred Meeks, Krystal and Priscilla, and we’re raising this fundraising in memory of our beloved Father that just passed on Monday August 15th, 2023. Dad was loving, strong, funny, confident, friendly, and inspiring. Family, friends, strangers no matter who you were he could make your day. He made fast friends with everyone he met, from the cart collector at the grocery store to his nurses in his final days. 2 years ago, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and when the doctors told him he might not make it, he proved them wrong and was successful through his surgery. We got one beautiful year with him while he was in remission before he got diagnosed once again last year with lung cancer. He survived months of rigorous chemo treatment and would go into every session declaring, “I’m gonna beat it girls I know it! This is the last one!” Our Dad was determined and always had the most positive attitude no matter what he was told. He did everything the doctor wanted him to do and lived a fulfilling life. It is now up to us to give him a fulfilling afterlife as well. We ask your assistance as he did leave so suddenly, sooner than even he expected to assist with any donation. It would aid us in medical bills, funeral service, burial, anything at all would be greatly appreciated. We loved our Dad and know many are others did too. Anything helps, even prayer.
