There’s not enough space here for me to tell you about Fred. Fred only turned 36 this past July and 8 months ago was diagnosed with Cancer. You’ll struggle to find a more hard working, family bloke than this man. After having multiple stays in hospital already this year he packed up with his beautiful wife Brianna and 4 children to travel up north and then down the west coast of Australia. The start of the trip was great, making amazing memories that his kids will cherish forever. Unfortunately Fred began to get unwell again and spent a week in a remote hospital in Kununurra WA. Once discharged the family decided to make a dash back to Victoria. After almost 4000kms in 3 days Brianna called an ambulance while in Burra SA, Fred was then transported immediately to a hospital in Adelaide. Family and friends came to say goodbye, and he peacefully went to sleep for the last time in the early hours Friday 3rd October.

Brianna would never ask for help (although I’m more than happy to on her behalf!) Both her and Fred were always the first to help others in any situation needed. Brianna would love to get back up north and finish the trip with her family in Fred’s honour and together sprinkle his ashes in The Kimberley’s
