Coach Gallo spent his life coaching and mentoring students. While his impact was felt far beyond the Iona Prep community, students that passed through here were greatly influenced by coach, both on and off the field. My brother Matt and I have created the Fred Gallo Scholarship fund. We created the fund to ensure that the legacy coach created will never be forgotten. The Fund aims to raise money for scholarships to the Iona Prep Baseball Camp as well as partial school scholarships to both incoming and current students that exemplifies the ideal student athlete.  This past summer we gave out 6 scholarships for the Iona Prep Summer Baseball Camp. It was great to see the joy on the children’s face as we handed them their scholarship plaques.
