Fred Conner

 

Hi my name is Morgan, Fred Conner's oldest child. I'm not one to seek help from others, especially by means of money. However, my dad passed away unexpectedly yesterday, June 30. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last fall and given a timeframe of 2 years so we thought we had more time to straighten it all out. He was never one for planning ahead and now we are left trying to figure out how to pay for his medical bills as he was in the ER, Hospital, and Rehabilitation Center since April. All we wanted was for him to come home and spend his time with family but he caught Covid a few days ago and went into respiratory distress. My mother was able to go in and be with him for his final moments, which was all he wanted.

 

My dad was my best friend. Growing up I remember watching Jeopardy! with my dad and he could answer every question, I thought he was the smartest person alive. He wasn't the most emotional father, but he was always there when I called to ask weird questions or talk about books. He got me into math and science and even talked me into joining the Navy.

 

He was well loved by his wife of almost 42 years and his 3 children and 4 grandchildren with his first great-grandson due in August. He will be missed.
