Help Fred Beihn Recover from the Fork Fire
Donation protected
On 9/7/22 our Dad, Fred Beihn, lost his home to the Fork Fire.
He was at a golf tournament that day supporting a local tribes’ Native Youth program, when the fire broke out. There was no time to retrieve any belongings, as roadblocks were already in place by the time he reached North Fork.
He lost everything. A lifetime of collections and memories. Items his grandma made for him. Vehicles, his home, his shop/tools/equipment, and boat. Our cousin, who lives next to him, tried dauntlessly to save our dad’s property that night (along with other family members surrounding homes) with his equipment, but the fire was just unpredictable and everywhere. We are very thankful for everything he and his boys were able to do.
There have been many emotions. Our Dad is busy focusing on helping others first because that is just who he is. He is never one to ask for help, in fact he has already responded many times with, “help others first,” which is why my sister, and I are starting this GoFund me page on his behalf. We understand if you are unable to donate monetarily, we ask that you share this page and feel free to leave a comment for him. All the kind and caring messages from others have been so appreciated and encouraging.
No, he did not have insurance. Most insurance carriers deem the mountain area as too high of risk, so he was not able to obtain insurance or afford the alternative option. He is planning to rebuild and is in the assessment and clean up phase now.
