Victoria and I are saddened to share that our fun-loving pup, Freckles, has been diagnosed with Bone Cancer. He began limping over a month ago and we have been working with the Vet. Scans were done on Friday, December 2nd which indicated a lesion in his left shoulder.
We are currently waiting to meet with an Oncologist to figure out the next steps, but we are certain amputation and chemotherapy will be suggested/needed. These treatments are very expensive and we hope you can support us as we hope to spend more time with our boy.
Freckle's Story!
This amazing dog was rescued as he was found wandering the woods at a measly 20 pounds. (65 pounds is his normal size) At that time he was a year-old pup. The foster helped him gain 40 pounds in just two weeks! Which is when we happened to find out about him!
The moment we met him on our visit to the foster home, we knew he was meant for us! He was still recovering when we brought him home. He was so weak he couldn't even climb up on the couch.
Over the years he has grown so strong! He often gets comments about his muscular build and cute mask. He loves running with doggie friends, climbing mountains, and swimming in any body of water he can find.
He's become a huge part of our family as he regularly comes with us to visit our family and friends. Freckles loves to meet our guests at the door yelling at the top of his lungs and has been a wonderful big brother to our three cats as you can see above. He's a bright light in our life.
It would mean the world to spoil him as much as possible in his last months. Please consider helping us on this journey as we hope to keep his quality of life high and extend the time we have with this sweet boy.
