Freak Car Accident, Anything Helps

Hey everyone,

Last week, I had a freak accident. Long story short, my car rolled down the street, crashed into multiple structures and cars, and landed into a Porsche. In addition to all of the other damage, my car was rendered undriveable until I can get it fixed.

I recently opened a coffee shop for our local community, and I was out running errands for the shop when this occurred. I’ve been in a really strained financial position lately, and between that, struggles with my insurance company, and a lack of time (I’m working 24/7) I hadn’t been able to get reinsured (usually not a problem as my boyfriend is typically the one driving us around, he was out of town at the time hence why I was driving).

I’m beating myself up over all of this, but the fact remains that if I want to continue having a roof over my head and groceries on the table, I simply don’t have the money to fix the damage on the other driver’s vehicle, let alone my own - although my immediate concern is fixing their car.

I’ve tried every other option (loans, credit cards, borrowing from family, the list goes on) but to no avail and my hands are completely tied. I am genuinely out of options and don’t know what to do. Anything helps.
