Athena's Warriors 4-H FIRST Robotics Club 3182

Athena's Warriors has qualified for the FIRST World Championship for the first time in our history!

On April 10, 2022, Athena's Warriors became the champions of our local Hartford District Event and qualified for the New England District Championship Event hosted at The Big E the weekend of April 13-16. We won the Entrepreneurship Award in Hartford and the Imagery Award at the District Championship.

Thanks to our New England district ranking of 46/183 prior to the District Championship, and agreements made between FIRST and NE FIRST when New England's "home" World Championship in Detroit was canceled last year, we earned the 22nd, and last, pre-qualification spot to the FIRST World Championship in Houston, April 20-23, 2022.

15 students and mentors from West Hartford, Rocky Hill, Newington and Simsbury will be representing Athena's Warriors, sponsored by 4-H, MakerspaceCT, Raytheon Technologies, Comcast/NBC Universal, and NASA. All support for this amazing season finale is greatly appreciated as booking the trip at the last minute has incurred unexpected costs.

We are FRC team #3182, Athena’s Warriors 4-H Robotics Club, a non-profit community FIRST Robotics Competition team of high-school kids from the Greater Hartford area, CT.

FIRST, For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, has a mission to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators. It accomplishes this mission by engaging students in exciting mentor-based programs that build STEM skills, inspire innovation, and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Since 2010, Athena’s Warriors has served as an outlet for students from around the Greater Hartford area to explore STEM education, projects and careers, while taking part in local robotics competitions, developing a business plan and participating in community outreach. Our team is comprised of aspiring high-school electrical and mechanical engineers, programmers, project managers, business and marketing leaders, and more. Being part of the team provides the students exposure to meaningful real-life experience, life-long friendships and opportunities to give back to the community.

The team is entirely self-run and funded by sponsor donations and in-kind donations. Our participation in various competitions across the country is dependent on the amount of funding we receive every year. The team must pay registration fees, order custom-made parts, marketing materials, pay for travel and other expenses.

Any amount you can donate will go a long way and would benefit the team in many ways. "A portion of the sales price of this product or service will be used to promote 4-H educational programs. No endorsement of the product or service by 4-H is implied or intended."

SPREAD THE WORD! We are always recruiting new team members and mentors!  For questions and comments, find us online by searching for FRC team 3182. Thank you for your support!!!
