Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Joshua, I am reaching out with a heavy heart in hopes that you can help my brother Jordan dog/Best Friend Meeko who is currently in intensive care and fighting for his life at just 3 years young. Meeko is more than just a pet; he’s my brothers current anchor in life, and we are doing everything we can to give him a chance at getting through this difficult time.

Recently (last Friday the 21st), Meeko became very ill and was rushed to the emergency vet hospital (VCA Canada Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre in Calgary), where we learned that he needs immediate and extensive treatment to survive. The costs for his medical care is overwhelming, and as his condition remains critical (staying in ICU), every day brings new challenges and financial strain. He is dealing with a massive internal infection that has spread to his Gallbladder, Pancreas and Liver. Unfortunately we still do not have a diagnosis and Meeko is just hanging on whilst things are being figured out.

Now as I'm writing this post my brother was informed that Meeko may need surgery and again his chances are not guaranteed. At this point the insurance will only be covering $2800 of the $26000 bill. This post was my idea and not his as he is such a private individual and is just dealing with such a mental load that just keeping a smile on his face is a struggle currently.

We are asking for your support to help us cover the expenses of his treatment. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards Meeko medical bill and will make a world of difference in giving him a fighting chance to heal and return to the loving home he knows.
