Fran’s CVST recovery journey

Donation protected
On the evening of January 30th my nephew's mother, Fran Miller, suffered a Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis. CVST is a rare form of stroke that occurs when a blood clot forms in the brain’s venous sinuses. This prevents blood from draining out of the brain. As a result, blood cells break and leak blood into the brain tissues, forming a hemorrhage. This is a significant medical emergency and consequently, Fran is in the Critical Care Unit in Kelowna. Fran is making significant progress daily and her neurologists are pleased with how well she is progressing however, the recovery journey will likely be very long. Everyone who knows Fran, knows how strong and feisty she is and she will push to overcome this. They also know how much she loves her son Ronnie. Ronnie lives with his Mom who has been the sole provider for their family since Ronnie’s father’s passing five years ago. The intent of this fundraiser is to reduce Fran's stress and worry over finances allowing her to focus on healing and then rehabilitation. It is also to assist Ronnie with living expenses while his Momma recovers as well as to cover the increased expenses so he can be by his Mom’s side as frequently as possible. Thank you for considering helping Fran and Ronnie during this challenging event in their lives and providing them with security and comfort while Fran focuses on healing.
