Fran’s Head Shave for Save the Children

Every child deserves a future, free from harm and full of opportunity. That's why I've committed to a personal challenge - a head shave - to raise funds for Save the Children.

Braving the shave is something I’ve wanted to do for many years, but have always found a reason to postpone. However, I have been moved by the recent atrocities committed against children around the world, particularly in Palestine, Congo, Sudan, and in our own streets of the UK where an increasing number families fall below the poverty line and struggle to make ends meet. This feeling has been amplified further since I myself became a parent and came to understand truly how helpless children are in these sad circumstances.

Every child is innocent and no life is worth more or less than another. Save the Children works tirelessly to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. They do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.
