Hi, my name is Steve, and I'm fundraising for our son-in-law, Fran Landry.

On Friday, our daughter took Fran to Nashoba ER for back pain. They found an aneurism in his splenic artery, and it had ruptured. After an emergency event in the ER, he was med-flighted to Brigham's & Women's Hospital within 12 mins. In Boston, after another traumatic episode, he was rushed into an emergency operation, needing over 100 units of blood.

He is on ECMO and many other machines. He is still critical and not awake yet, but we are hopeful.

Kerry and Fran have only been married seven months and were to go on their delayed honeymoon the following week. This traumatic event has been very hard on Fran's family, and he has a long road ahead of him.

Fran is a correction officer in Massachusetts and has consistently raised money for other guards and families during their time of need. His work ethic is fantastic, and after working doubles, he always found time to help others.

Fran is a fighter, and the doctors and nurses are amazed at the little progress he has already accomplished.
