Update October 2018: Frank's cancer is back. He is undergoing a new sort of treatment (which he's explained on his FB page) this fall and early winter. The nature of the treatment and its side effects mean that Frank will need 24-hour care, and this will necessitate caregivers. While the pharma company is going to put him up in a hotel when the treatment time comes (in order to facilitate better access to him than would be possible with his current living arrangement), Frank will be unable to work. But like all of us, he will still have bills to pay. Thus I have revived this GoFundMe campaign and increased the goal. (Please note that the total raised thus far includes the approximately $750 raised in the initial phase of the campaign.)
The mind-body connection is strong, and stress figures in to the healing process. Let's do what we can to reduce Frank's stress throughout his treatment by giving back to him the way he's constantly giving to everyone through his talents and positive nature.
Who am I? I am a fellow fan of Frank. I work for Saturday Academy, a local non-profit that offers classes to students who want to follow their curiosity in all kinds of subjects. Frank teaches a variety of comic-related classes for us, inspiring countless kids to share their stories via this medium. We are truly indebted to Frank for his willingness to share his passion and talent with our students.

$0.65. Keep that number in mind. As my fellow 1,004 Frank Facebook friends know, Frank is the new face of facing cancer down. We all admire the combination of flair and ferocity he's exhibited throughout this fight. And right now, he's got a fellow fighter helping him out, his sister Cori, who came all the way from Florida to help Frank. Cori herself is a cancer survivor.
Cori has housing while Frank is in the hospital, but come May 8th--his anticipated release date (fingers crossed!)--she will need a place to stay until her anticipated departure back to Florida on May 15th. Cori and Frank have found a hotel that is convenient to Frank's house; it's under $75/night. She will also be relying on Lyft/Uber or TriMet to get around town.
Frank has over 1,000 friends. If each of Frank's fabulous Facebook friends chipped in sixty-five cents, we could cover a good chunk of Cori's hotel and transportation costs.
Please help Frank and Cori by considering a contribution to this cause. Any donations beyond the goal amount of $650 will go to Frank to help defray his ongoing medical needs, including his own transportation to and from future medical appointments.
Who am I? I am another Frank fan. Frank has approved this effort to procure housing and transportation funds for his sister Cori.
