On Tuesday April 23rd my mother lost her home and her belongings to a devastating fire which started early morning. Along with loosing everything she has ever owned she lost her beloved companion, a 5 year old house cat named Gracie.
We are so thankful that there were no human injuries or lives lost however it will be a long and slow struggle for my mother to recover from such a traumatic event. It is not until you've lost everything that you realize the costs involved in starting from scratch. Unfortunately insurance will not be playing a part.
