Our team has worked tirelessly for months to organise Franki Fest – a family-friendly charity festival taking place this Saturday (2nd August) in Royton Park.
The event was created to honour Frankie and her unborn daughter Neeve, who were tragically killed by a dangerous driver in 2023 on Frankie’s birthday on Saturday
All proceeds go directly to supporting our vital road safety workshops Frankie and Neeves Toad Safety Academy in schools – helping save lives through education and awareness
Sadly, just days before the event, we’ve been severely let down by a third-party individual who promised to provide all key infrastructure for a discounted rate – including:
• Stage & PA system
• Toilets
• Security
• Fencing & barriers
• Lighting, power
After months of reassurance, they cancelled at the last minute, leaving us without any of the promised provisions.
We are now having to source (which we have done) and fund everything ourselves which means the event is more than anticipated– at full cost – with almost no time left and very limited resources.
We are doing everything we can to keep the event alive, but we urgently need help to cover essential costs.
Hundreds of families and children are expected. The day means so much to our community and to Frankie and Neeve’s loved ones – and your support could make all the difference in helping financially for it go ahead.
If you can contribute anything – no matter how small – please know it will go directly toward saving this event and supporting the mission behind it.
Let’s come together to honour Frankie and Neeve, and ensure their legacy continues to protect other lives.
With heartfelt thanks,
Calvin Buckley
