As all of you may know, I have had my RGK wheelchair for excess of 10 years now. Many of you have helped me tug it in and out of my car, and some of you have even had a wheel around in it yourselves from time to time. You may also know, in these last few years it has begun to fall apart. My chariot has served me well for so long, through good times and bad, but it has finally begun to reach its end.
I have been given a new quote for my next chair, also an RGK, and I am in need of some financial help to pay for it, as I have to partly fund it myself. While the price seems quite large, it has a higher life expectancy than my previous chair being that is a solid frame and less loose parts. Although to some, this may appear to be an extravagant purchase when some other chairs are available at cheaper prices, but following 10+ years of service to my life and it being such an important tool for me, I feel its a necessary and worth while investment.
The cost of the chair is a total of £3,307, with up to £1,200 being paid for by the NHS. The additional money hoping to be raised from here will pay the cost of the GoFundMe's percentage.
All donations are really appreciated. Thank you all!
