About two weeks ago, our good friend Frankie started losing his vision in both of his eyes. Due to these unpredictable times due to COVID-19, his condition was not deemed severe enough to be seen by a doctor. As his condition only seemed to get worse over these 2 weeks, they finally made an appointment with a retinal specialist on April 28th who has now discovered Frankie has severe retinal hemorrhaging in both eyes. Upon this discovery they took his blood pressure and it was a staggering 240/180.
Frankie’s mother, Paula, then rushed him to the ER and Frankie was admitted to the ICU, where they have ran countless tests. Thankfully he is negative for COVID-19. However, they have discovered that his kidneys are in fact failing. He is due to start an emergency dialysis surgery May 1st. They will continue to monitor him through the weekend and will reevaluate him on Monday and continue to give him the best care they can provide.
Frankie is a father, a son, a brother, and a friend to many. Although his condition improves everyday, he is going to enter a healthier world with incredible financial burden. We are asking at this time for donation of anything you can afford to ease his stresses during these unpredictable times.
Thank you!
