A week ago I lost one of my best and closest friends. Frankie was loved by every single person in my social group. He was the type of guy to get along with everyone and never let a gesture of kindness go without repayment. A few years ago I gave him my old PC. He never stopped getting me games and little treats, always referencing the PC as the reason. He more than covered the value of my old rig. I took him out to a gig a year ago, sorted travel and tickets. A few months back he did the same for me but paid for a hotel and my drinks too. He always spoke his mind, had a brilliant sense of humour and never made anyone in any situation feel like an outsider.
Frankie lived in a house in the countryside with his mum. They're not wealthy. The house requires some repairs and adjustments which some friends have been kind enough to lend their skills and time toward already. She is in poor health and he was her full time carer. From breakfast to bedtime he helped with everything. They were best friends and anyone who'd been around them could tell that Frankie wouldn't prefer doing anything else other than care for his loved ones. Aside from the tragedy of losing such a brilliant guy so early, there is now the fact that his mum will have to pursue care through other avenues during her grief. 100% of anything given here will go to Frankie's mother to do with as she sees fit. The amount of money raised doesn't matter. I'm sure any gesture will be dearly appreciated and put to good use.
