Hi, my name is Frankie Hernandez.

On August 6, 2025, my four kids and I were hit by a drunk driver who ran a red light. Our van was totaled, and I was pinned inside for 30 minutes while emergency crews used the jaws of life to get me out— not exactly how I imagined my afternoon. My kids were rushed to the hospital for testing, but thankfully, they only had minor injuries.

I wasn’t as lucky. I have a broken foot with torn ligaments, which means I can’t work as a truck driver or drummer right now. Almost 7 weeks and counting without a paycheck is tough. Physical therapy is keeping me busy, and I’m doing my best to stay positive, but with no return to work date set, finances get scary.

Medical bills, household bills, and everyday expenses are piling up fast. I’ve always provided for my family, and asking for help isn’t easy, but right now we really need it.
