FRANKIE CALDERON MEMORIAL and REPAIR FUND

Family is defined many ways; for those of us in the military, and other similar fields, our teammates, counterparts, and peers, alike become just that – FAMILY.  Danielle, Joe, Frankie, and Javier became just that to so many of us in so very many ways.  Which is why it was the most heartbreaking of all to learn that young Frankie took his own life on Thursday, 07 April, 2022, in the bathroom that he and his younger brother Javier share, within his home, not long after his 17th birthday. This is also where his mother, Danielle, and Javier found him and watched him take some of his last breaths.  After this moment their lives would forever be altered, as they learn to live without Frankie, who had so much ahead of him and who so many loved.

 

Dear, sweet, Frankie – you were such an amazing, smart, beautiful young man with such a gift for making people love you. You lit up a room, kept us laughing, and brought so much joy to so many. You were very much the light of your mother’s life and your brother’s biggest role model. You will be infinitely missed. All of our hearts have grown a little weaker, our lives a little more empty, and our souls less joyous as we navigate a world without you.

 

Dearest friends, family, and those who understand – please consider helping this family that is going through so much right now. They would like to replace the bathroom in their home that is currently a constant reminder of this fateful day, as well as arrange for Frankie’s celebration of life, as difficult as it will be. Sharing, liking, and contributing will aid in doing just that.

 

We appreciate your support, encouragement, and kind words as Danielle, Joe, and Javier embark on what will be the most tumultuous trek no family should ever have to endure.

 

Danielle, Joe, Frankie, and Javier – we love you all more than words can describe and are with you every step of the way.

 

Frankie's celebration of life will be held in Fayetteville, NC within the upcoming months. Details will be posted here as they are arranged and available.
