First-Ever Frankfurt Palestine Cinema Days
We are launching the first edition of the Frankfurt Palestine Cinema Days. A free, open-air film series held across two weekends in 2025: August 8–10 and 15–17.
This is more than a cultural event. It’s a public act of resistance. A space of remembrance. A platform for Palestinian voices that are too often silenced, erased, or excluded – especially in Germany.
Why we’re doing this
In Germany, it has become nearly impossible to host Palestinian or pro-Palestinian events without facing repression such as political pressure or venue cancellations. That’s why we’re reclaiming public space as a site of cultural and political presence. We’re bringing Palestinian films, stories, and struggles to the heart of the city. Outdoor. Free. For everyone.
What we’re planning
6 open-air film evenings
A short film evening on international solidarity and joint struggles
Discussions, panels, music, spoken word & readings
What we need
Your support helps us cover:
Equipment & open-air infrastructure
Film rights & screening licenses
Travel & honoraria for filmmakers and guests
Legal support in case of anticipated political repression (yes, this is necessary in Germany).
Promotion, safety measures and risk mitigation
Every euro helps. Every donation is a statement!
Why it matters
This project isn’t backed by big institutions. We’re a grassroots collective – Palestinian and non-Palestinian cultural workers, activists and students. We believe in cultural justice, political art, and the power of storytelling. We believe that Palestinian voices belong in public space and should be allowed to be heard!
We’re not asking for charity. We’re asking for solidarity.
Help us build this space!
Help us bring the stories to the screen!
Help us make room – for memory, resistance, and connection!
Donate now! Share widely! Join us in August!
