Frank Michael Corliss was a lifelong educator, coach and mentor in Poughkeepsie, NY. He passed away June 10, 2021.
There was nothing on his heart more than the success and thriving of his students. In his honor, we would like to offer a scholarship in his name for the years of tireless support he gave his kids. We would love for one more generation to know his love of education. Thank you for considering a donation to us.
Mr. Corliss spent over 35 years in Poughkeepsie City Schools, mostly at his beloved Poughkeepsie High School teaching the literature of the culture, but also lifelong lessons on love, humor and hope. Frank Corliss was a longtime coach of the Poughkeepsie Pioneers Baseball team and lifelong Poughkeepsie sports enthusiast. He also was an administrator, Principal of Arlington Summer School, Clinton School, Krieger School and Vice Principal at Unionvale Middle School, LaGrange Middle School and Arlington High School.
A qualified recipient would be a forthcoming graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, demonstrating financial need, and complete an essay - video or written - on a topic of later choosing. (Mr. C always loved an essay.)
