Frankie B Needs Your Help

Hey everyone my name is Frank Bachurski and I’m not typically one to ask for help but I think at some point everyone could use a little extra support from the people around them.  As many of you have heard, my Dad was recently rushed to the emergency room as a result of complications from his back surgery.  He was diagnosed with sepsis or septicemia which is the presence of deadly bacteria and their toxins throughout your blood and body, through infection of a wound.  This is something that is typically prevented with appropriate post surgical care, but unfortunately my Dad was never provided with these preventative measures.  Now he is in the ICU at a Allegheny General Hospital (not the hospital that performed the surgery), and he is fighting for his life. 


They had to reperform the surgery and take the infected hardware out of his spine because the infection was so bad.  The doctors had to lance multiple abcesses on his arms and legs due to the infection seeding itself throughout his body.  Every day is another test and another issue popping up.  The infection is attacking his internal organs and even the antibiotics are taking their toll.  He has gone through 16 days of absolute torture and they say he will be in the hospital for a long time to come.  He is now on a ventilator to help him survive due to the fluid overload in his lungs restricting his ability to breathe on his own.  All we want is to have my Dad home and living peacefully in his man cave.

No one could have seen this coming and it has consumed every waking moment.   We have been living in hospital waiting rooms and at my Dad's bedside because of his unstable condition.  My family and I are so overwhelmed and though it is tough for me to do this, someone has to tell his story for him and I am reaching out to you all for help. 

Even with insurance, the financial expenses we are incurring are devastating.  Any donation or support will help my family with thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills, surgeries and hospital fees that are already starting to pour in.

My dad has always been a huge fan of music, and as The Beatles once said,

"We get by with a little help from our friends."
