On January 1, 2017 our family's lives were changed. Our father went to the emergency room due to severe stomach pain. My mom thought it may have been an ulcer or food poisining, but that was not the case. After several different blood tests and hours of waiting our father was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He ended up staying in the hospital for five days until the doctors presented the final diagnosis. It was Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, specifically Mantle Cell. This type of cancer is in his lymphatic system and affects his B-cells that function within his immune system. 

After speaking with the doctors, we found out that he will need several treatments of chemotherapy both inpatient and outpatient. Along with this he will need a bone marrow transplant where he will be in the hospital for approximately three weeks. From that day on we have been on a difficult journey. 

It became a lot more difficult to make ends meet when our father had to stop working. He cannot work because his immune system has been greatly affected. He is too weak to fight off illnesses and he can't risk becoming sick. Recieving only disability as his source of income has greatly affected our family so we are creating this page to help raise money for numerous hospital stays and accumulating medical bills. 

Our dad is one of the hardest working people that we know and we couldn't imagine life without him. Ultimately, we hope that we can support him through this diffucult time. We want him to make it to our college graduations, weddings, and the births of our future children.
