Frank Polk's Medical Expenses

Tuesday Frank was involved in an accident on a job site. While using the bucket truck to trim limbs above an apartment building the bucket truck turned over, causing Frank to fall approximately 35-45 feet. God protected Frank from what could have easily been a fatal fall and spared him from any long term debilitating injuries.

Frank sustained a large degloving injury to head. A complex distal tibula, fibula, and ankle fracture on the right side, lots of abrasions and bruises.

We awaited a surgery consult for his head injury and were told he would have to go to the operating room for a washout and closure. The Lord brought the perfect surgeon to Franks bedside. He was able to washout and completely close it without having to take Frank to the operating room. A CT scan of the distal leg and ankle showed that there was to much swelling for the orthopedic surgeons to perform surgical fixation at this time so Frank was placed in a cast from his foot to mid-thigh. Many of you know that Frank has very limited mobility with his left hip due to a car accident 20 years ago. Now he has no mobility of his right leg for an undetermined amount of time.

Our family asks for prayers that the swelling subsides and the orthopedic surgeon says no surgical fixation is needed! Prayers that his head wound heals quickly and without infection, and overall comfort.

There are many out of pocket cost coming Frank's way. At this time we don't have any idea how long Frank will be immobilized or what future medical cost will arise from his leg injuries.

Frank shows his love whole heartedly. Now we have an opportunity to return some kindness and love to Frank with prayers, caring phone calls, loving visits, or monetary support.
