Frank Emmi - Quadraplegia and Cancer Fund
Donation protected
We are writing on behalf of our dear friends Frank and Janet Emmi.
On August 8, 2019, Frank required emergency surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital for a re-occurrence of a cancerous tumor on his cervical spine. This second occurrence of cancer has resulted in an unimaginable situation where Frank is now suffering from paralysis from his waist down as well as in his hands. This is a result of the tumor compressing against his spinal cord. The tumor was partially removed, however, he continues to have paralysis and limited use of his hands. Frank has a long road of recovery ahead with an uncertain future.
Frank and Janet are Elwood parents who have three daughters; Leeann, a 2014 graduate of John Glenn High School and twins, Sarah and Elizabeth, who are entering the 11th grade at JGHS. Frank is a kind, warm-hearted and dedicated husband, father and friend who has been a part of our Elwood community for over 25 years. Frank is a truly special person who always brings a smile to your face and makes everyone’s lives a little brighter.
Frank will soon be transferred from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility for weeks or months of intensive therapy. Janet and Frank both work on commission, with their income dependent on their ability to work. Therefore, this is a tremendous financial burden for their family. They will need financial assistance for the enormous medical bills, household bills and day-to-day expenses.
The Emmi family needs all the love and support they can get at this time. Please consider donating as soon as possible as their needs are immediate. A little bit can go a long way and all donations will go directly to Frank and his family.
