Frank Drew Memorial - Rectortown, VA

Frank Drew of Markham was passing through Rectortown on January 6, 2021 when he stopped to help a motorist on Maidstone Rd. This act of kindness resulted in tragedy as the driver of the car was fleeing police and he shot and killed Frank.

The Memorial Committee has received permission from the Embrey family to erect a bench adjacent to the Railroad Depot at the corner of Maidstone and Lost Corner Roads.

The labor for the construction of the bench has been donated but there are some costs involved including the stone and materials. We will need to raise approximately $2,500 to build this permanent marker to honor Frank. We hope individuals and families will consider a contribution of $25, $50 or $150.

Funds not utilized for this project will be donated to the Marshall Ambulatory Service.
