On Tuesday Nov 14 we received a phone call that Frank, our dad, had passed away peacefully in the early morning. He had battled AML bravely for the past 2 1/2 years on top of being a stroke survivor and having lost his wife - our mother in August of 2021.
Unfortunately neither of my parents planned for my mom to go first. Unfortunately this means that anything from her went towards my fathers care over the past two years leaving us to cover the cost of his funeral and memorial.
It is not easy by any means to ask for help. But here’s the thing prior to his stroke Frank was the first one to offer anyone a hand who was in need. It is one of the things I always admired about him - he was always willing to go above and beyond for his friends and those who asked for help. With the holidays quickly approaching as well as a new addition (the first granddaughter) in the way we need to ask for a little help. All funds collected will go directly to his funeral expenses and excess will be donated to YSU (his alma mater) to go toward the new student center currently under construction.
Frank’s memorial service will be Dec 1, 2023 from 5pm - 7pm at Lamiell Funeral Home in Canton
