In Loving Memory of Francoise Ndayishimiye,

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Françoise Ndayishimiye. She was hit by a pickup truck in Ajax, Ontario on January 22, 2026, and passed away the next day. This loss was sudden and heartbreaking, and her family is still trying to process the shock of losing someone so deeply loved.

Just a little about Françoise: she arrived in Canada from Burundi just under eight years ago. She was a resilient and devoted mother who faced the challenges of building a new life in a new country. Despite these obstacles, she persevered and found purpose in her new home. She loved her work, her four children, her family, her friends, and her community deeply and unconditionally. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void.
