Francisco Islas aka “Panch”, “Panchito”, “Pancho” suffered an accident riding a 4-wheeler on Saturday, December 1st, 2018. He suffered a severe skull fracture, shoulder fracture and lost a lot of blood at the time of the accident. He was rushed to LSU Hospital in Shreveport and was in surgery as soon as possible. Doctors gave very low chances of full recovery so a lot of prayers on his name were asked that night. All his immediate family, all of his friend-family, all of his circle of friends, all of his community, we all prayed and prayed.
We know that miracles happen every day but not every day you ask for one but this day we did, we all prayed forFrancisco’s life, that he would live so he could continue to be the kindest friend, sweetest cousin and best son for his family. The miracle happened and Francisco is here with us!!! Already eating, speaking, moving, walking, laughing, remembering.. being Francisco. Thank God now he’s on the road to full recovery. We know his full recovery will take time; he’ll be taking intense therapy in all aspects physical, cognitive, emotional.
We’re asking for support to raise anything we can to make Francisco's full recovery less of a burden from the Islas family. Panchito, his mom and dad, sister and grandparents are going through an emotional roller coaster with every progress he makes and every set back he has. As their friend-family, we’re trying to help them in all different ways and this is one way we could think of.
Your support will help on to pay Panch’s Intensive Therapy that will take place outside of the city of Shreveport, LA.
Blessings!
*All donations will directly go from GoFundMe to the Islas family (no third-parties involved)
