Hi my name is Misti and i am fundraising for my husband Francisco AKA pancho AKA cowboy. Francisco is a hard-working family man who has worked in the agricultural industry since the day that we met over 20 years ago. He worked every day from sun up to sundown including Sundays to provide for his family. He took special pride in knowing that he was able to financially support his family allowing me to be a stay-at-home mom for our three children. Unfortunately he became ill around the 12 of November and was diagnosed with influenza. Then on the 16th he woke up and started his van so that it could warm up as he usually does. And then came inside the house. Around 7:00 a.m. my daughter woke up and found him in a seizure and my son called 911. When he arrived at the hospital he was in dka (diabetic ketoacidosis) as well as SVT his heart rate was 218 and he required being cardioverted to bring his heart rate down he was then airlifted to a hospital in Charlotte which was 2 hours away from home and there he was found to have bacterial meningitis, pneumonia, strep, sepsis, and influenza.He was put on a ventilator to protect his airways. They performed various MRIs and lumbar punctures. He was then placed on a lumbar drain. His organs were functioning and his vitals were remaining stable however he had suffered several strokes while in the hospital that caused irreversible brain damage. He has remained non responsive since the 16th. They do not think that he will ever have any meaningful neurological recovery and will basically remain in a vegetative state. We are planning on removing him from life support this monday december the 4th. We have not recieved billing for everything but what we have recieved so far is $7742.00. Aside from his medical expenses we are going to have funeral expenses as well as cremation expenses. He had some money saved up but not enough to cover everything.
