On a recent December evening, our sweet puppy Francis Ampersand suddenly broke! He had a clumsy puppy moment and slipped when jumping into our car. Francis, as the vet noted, was just doing normal puppy things and had a normal puppy fall.  But he landed wrong. 

Francis has a tibial crest avlusion, which is an injury common in puppies when their bones haven't fully fused together. 
 

He had surgery a few days later to place pins in the bones. Francis is recovering well, unfortunately, we're not.

So far, Francis' fall has cost $2,436....which is a lot at any time. Factor in that we just bought a house that needs so many repairs that we can't yet live inside it. And, Matthew just left his stable-income job a few weeks ago to start a community education farm. Right now we're living with a lot of expenses on a single non-profit income and could really use your help!
