Francis Leleua's Medical Fund

A stroke happens to other people, not to us, sadly it's wishful thinking for many of us, including our family.  Our brother, Francis T Leleua, had a stroke. He is currenty fighting to become whole again. He is very strong in spirit but the body and the mind are not cooperating; his right side is currently non-functional and his speech is almost non-existent. Hence the battle to win over this thing called a stroke.
Francis grew up and attended school in Colorado; graduated from Colorado State Univeristy and after years of touring Canada and the US, playing music, he settled down. He and his family live in American Samoa ( a territory of the U.S) where he has been a music teacher since 1985 and currently the Music Coordinator for the Office of Curriculum and Instruction, Dept. of Education. From the classroom to administration, his love and passion for music has touched many. In American Samoa, if you were a student of Leone, Tafuna or Samoana High School, chances are you were a student of his.
Francis' stroke happened approximately 1 month from the date of this writing. It was totally unexpected. He spent that month in Samoa trying to put his body into some type of condition that would allow him to safely travel. He came to the U.S. mainland to take tests they were unable to administer in American Samoa. These tests  would give a more accurate account of his condition and give him a better direction necessary for his recovery.  He will undergo extensive neurological tests as well as speech and physical therapy. This all costs money and we could use your help in the form of donations. Although his insurance pays 80% of his medical bills and some related medical supplies, funds would be helpful to cover out of pocket costs.  Hospital bed, wheelchair, inexpensive bathroom transformation  items for safety, such as a tub transition bench, hand held shower head, all costs money. Unfortunately, several months before the stroke, Francis underwent surgery for his eyes. With the stroke, it put the family into a difficult financial hardship.  Donations will be greatly accepted to help the worldly necessities, but prayers are always welcome for the spirit. Thank you in advance for your donation.
