Hi, I'm Francis Hannaway, from Middlesbrough. I'm raising money for my centre for malnourished children which I set up almost 8 years ago, with my wife, Judith. It's in Basankusu, in the DR Congo.
We treat seriously ill children, suffering from malnutrition. We get them checked and treated at hospital first. We put each child on a feeding programme to get them back onto the Road to Good Health.
Our project is expensive. We spend more than £2500 each month on hospital fees and food.
We need to buy more sacks of beans, rice, sugar, peanuts, soyabeans, maize, as well as containers of vegetable oil, and medicines for worms, malaria, and various infections. We also need more pots and pans, tables, chairs, matresses - and to maintain our buildings.
We don't waste money - every penny does good work!
We've treated around 5000 children since we started.
We work with a team of 14 volunteers.
Please help, if you can!
