Hi, I’m Renee, Francine’s daughter. We all thought we would be going home with my Mom, but things took a turn for the worst. My Mom is now resting comfortably. We are now planning to have her cremated and have services for her to celebrate the wonderful loving and caring person she was.

Here’s the back story of what happened. My Mom has cirrhosis of the liver which means her liver is hardened and blood is constricted from flowing through it. This causes backup in other places, like her esophageal verises veins.

She has a procedure done on 11/1/23 where they went down with a scope and handed this large veins in her esophagus. On 11/8/23, she started throwing up blood. I called 911 and she was transported by ambulance. They gave her blood transfusions until they could find out where the bleeding was coming from. Found out it was from one of her esophageal veins.
