Frances' School Trip: A World of Learning

My name is Frances and on June 11th I'll be departing with my school group to Costa Rica and Panama! I'm sharing this as I look for donations to my educational and historic based trip. I'm super excited about this opportunity to learn more about the culture, history, and people of this region. All across the area, I'll be visiting places from Panama City to zip lining in the tree tops with my EF educational tour group. We will be visiting many historic places and learning hands-on about what an amazing places Costa Rica and Panama are. As someone who hasn't left the United States yet, I feel like I'll be really experiencing international travel and I'm looking forward to broadening my horizons.

At school, I'm the events coordinator for student council, a member of the environmental club, and National Honor Society, and outside of school I have an internship at the Walker Arts Center. I'm also passionate about the arts and I'm taking a college level art class this year, and have applied to a few regional scholarships. I feel like Costa Rica and Panama will really be a life changing experience, just to feel something outside the United States and experience that beautiful tropic environment is such a great opportunity.
