Our family has recently received news that two wives within our membership have been diagnosed with cancer. What we aim to do with this campaign is to raise funds to provide relief for these families during this difficult time. The diagnosis of cancer carries an extensive amount of physical, emotional, and financial hardships and it is the intention of the Santa Fe Springs Firefighters that through our collective efforts we can reduce this impact on both families.

Holly Van Meeteren, wife of Battalion Chief Chad Van Meeteren, was recently diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and is currently recovering from surgical removal of her cancer and awaiting pathology results to know the full extent of her treatment moving forward.

Frances Mackay, wife of retired Engineer Paul Mackay, is currently battling pancreatic cancer and is undergoing aggressive therapy through Loma Linda Hospital.

With your help we can provide some funds to offset the many costs that come with cancer treatment and the collateral effects it has throughout the lives of diagnosed individuals.  These proceeds will be divided equally between both the Mackay and Van Meeteren families and combined with any other fundraising efforts carried out in the coming months.

The members of Local 3507, Santa Fe Springs Firefighters, appreciate your donation!
