Fran & Even -Bernal Heights tragedy

Disaster struck the home of our elderly  neighbors on Thursday morning 12/7--we don't know what caused it yet--but carbon monoxide took the life of our beloved friend Even Lammers.  Even was the nicest, gentle giant.  He emigrated to the United States more than 50 years ago from Norway, served as a Merchant Marine and a SF police officer for many years.  He lived a simple life in Bernal Heights with his partner of 40 years Fran Maffeo.  We are raising money to pay for a simple service for Even and to ensure that Fran has a safe home to live in for her last years.  Thank you for giving in this difficult time of the year.  And, please---make sure you have working CO alarms in your home.
