Framingham HS Class of 2020 Senior Recognitions

The ongoing pandemic has forced all of us to rethink parts of our lives that we had previously taken for granted. From how and where we work, to how we shop, to how we access healthcare – all these activities are being reimagined.
Among these routines is how we celebrate our young men and women who have completed high school and are transitioning to college, military service or careers. The Class of 2020, born in the shadows of the September 11th attacks, is now entering the adult world as a global health crisis once again tests our resilience as a community. The current situation threatens their traditional senior year activities like senior prom and graduation.
That’s why a group of parents have been working to identify ways we can celebrate our senior class. One of our planned recognitions is to hang banners with the names of all seniors at Framingham High School and at Bowditch Field.
A second recognition is a yard sign for each senior. These signs will be placed around the high school field sometime during the week before graduation; students then can collect them for their own use. These signs will be a symbol of our students standing together while we are all socially distancing. Jon Grocer of Framingham-based AllType Digital Graphics has offered to print our signs for a reduced cost.
We will be getting a sign for every student in the Class of 2020 regardless of their ability to pay, which is why we’re asking the Framingham community to stand with us in celebrating our senior class during these unprecedented times. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, and any remaining funds will be donated to the Class of 2020 to offset other expenses.
