Hi, I’m Louis — a soon-to-be BA (Hons) Filmmaking and Production graduate from London Film Academy. Alongside my partner Shane, a soon-to-be MA graduate of London Contemporary Dance School. We’re co-directing a bold and emotionally charged short dance film called Limburger. This is the culmination of our graduate work — and we need your support to help bring this powerful vision to life.

Limburger is a story that follows an awkward timid teenage girl who is invited to prom by an obnoxious popular boy in school. Something fractures inside when the girl realises she was brought to prom as a cruel joke. In a sudden surge of emotional chaos, she lashes out—attacking the boy in a moment of blind rage. What follows is a descent into a surreal, psychotic reality where her fury erupts through a wild, energetic dance—soon joined by the other prom-goers in a large dance number. With choreography inspired by Bob Fosse, 60s go-go dancing and James Brown's funk mojo moves, as well as costume and production design inspired by the band The B-52s.

Alongside Shane, who will be choreographing and collaborating with dancers from London Contemporary Dance School, I’ll be co-directing and leading a talented team of filmmakers from the London Film Academy. Together, we aim to fuse narrative storytelling with dance in a way that challenges and expands the possibilities of both art forms.

We are deeply passionate about this project and what it represents. Limburger is an ode to those moments when language fails — when the body takes over.
