Fractured (Student Short Film)
Donation protected
Hello! I’m Christina DeSalvo, a student filmmaker at Lindenwood University, and this spring I will be shooting my first capstone (senior thesis project)! Since transferring to LU in 2019 I’ve worked on over 30 capstones, short films, and music videos as 1st Assistant Director, 1st Assistant Camera, and Director of Photography along with many other roles. A film I wrote/directed/edited this spring, “I Must Confess”, screened at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase in July 2022. I funded that project by myself (which is where I got this films budget estimate from) and am unable to do the same with this film which is why I’m asking for your help. I’ll be making consistent posts on this page with updates on where the funds are going and bts from the entire creative process. Thank you all so much for donating, this film wouldn’t be possible without you!
About the Film: Fractured is a musical dramedy. On the one-year anniversary of their friend Danny’s death, a group of four college seniors reluctantly reunite and attempt to mend their broken relationships. The friends – Autumn, Eli, Kurtis, and Piper – each represent a stage of grief (Denial, Bargaining, Anger, Depression) and work towards entering the final stage (Acceptance) together. Join them on their journey as they discover that we are more than our befores, we all get afters.
