Move Colorado Past Fracking

Join us in growing this historic citizens movement to liberate Colorado from a dependence on fracked gas! In the past nine months we have held community meetings, educational presentations, a Gasland 2 screening and a massive Frack Free Colorado concert in Denver with Jakob Dylan (Wallflowers), Daryl Hannah, Mariel Hemingway, Elephant Revival, etc. These events have educated and empowered thousands of citizens to protect their communities against fracking.  We've sustained this awareness through on-line organizing and regularly meeting working groups.

Frack Free Colorado has turned all of this new energy into a community victory in Boulder County! We coordinated the delivery of thousands of post cards, e-mails, phone calls and public testimony to the Boulder County commissioners. Our team educated the commissioners with strategic legal guidance, as well as medical and scientific evidence, all of which helped lead to an 18 month moratorium on fracking for more study.

Your support allows us to do this vital work of empowering communities for similar victories! With your donation we will continue to educate, support local organizing for bans and moratoriums, and build on our recent momentum for a statewide ballot initiative. In addition we will educate people about renewable energy solutions and how they can get involved with supporting clean, efficient energy with personal choices and green energy legislation. In the coming year we are planning for another big concert with the theme of moving beyond fracking to renewables, and we will provide grassroots support to a new fracking documentary with an all star cast of directors.
