MES 3rd Grade Field Trip 2016
Donation protected
Our MES 3rd Graders need money to ride in private (non-APS busses) to the Tulles Museum this March. The total for a private bus with quality individual seating, TVs, and a bathroom is $2,500. That’s only $25 from 100 people!
The bus trip to Cartersville will take over 1 hour to drive plus extra waiting around time to load, count, and unload children (busses are much slower than cars). The kids are currently scheduled to ride APS busses which are noisy, do not have bathrooms, and provide only bench style seating. This means our children will be grouped in 2’s or 3’s per bench to slosh all the way up/down I-75. However, a private bus can provide a quieter and safer ride with INDIVIDUAL SEATS/SEAT BELTS per child, a BATHROOM, even TVs for kids to watch a happy show along the way.
In researching, other APS schools regularly provide private busses for their elementary field trips thru parent donations. Shouldn’t we have the same for our kids? Our 3rd graders were fortunate enough to have these busses on the 2.5+ hour ride to The Little White House field trip earlier this school year, and it made a HUGE difference in the children’s experience, especially the bathrooms! However, these nice busses are not in the class budget for all the lengthy 3rd grade field trips, so our children are hoping you can help…..
Please consider donating any amount so our kids can ride in nice busses to the Tulles Museum in March. Our kids are worth it. Again, the total for a private bus with quality individual seating and a bathroom is $2,500. After donating, send this to your 3rd grader’s favorite Aunt/Uncle, grandparent, or a family friend to match your donation. We need to raise the money by March 2rd, so let’s get rolling…..
