Hi, My name is Mendy Zimmerman. My story starts with the journey of PKD/PLD. I had 80 percent of my liver removed in 2017 at Mayo Clinic the weighed 8.25 pounds. My liver had grown so large my lungs could not expand and cause heart palpitations. This operation saved my life. I am blessed. I am needing further follow up care but have fallen short of getting my bill from the other nine trips I have made previous to 2021. I made a trip last year to be turned away after failure to pay 3200 dollars. I am desperately needing to return and still owe 1600 dollars. This disease progresses fast and intervention isn’t made timely can result in transplant. I am having heart flutters off and on again. This could be Covid related but with my history better safe to just know. If they don’t deroof timely there won’t be sufficient tissue to regrow from the liver. I am praying scans will say I am healthy as a horse and will need no additional procedures. I’m am blessed with amazing friends and family. If you can help that is wonderful. If even send prayers would be the biggest help as I know god cares for his flock.
